Hey guys, I am pondering replacing my tyres in the near future, and was wondering if anyone has tried 225/50 r15's on their gen 4 prelude. - I dont want to change rims and am considering this size as it opens up more choice in selecting tyres, but I'm concerned about the tyres rubbing if the car is lowered (which I may be doing in the future).
PS - This is the only other size that I'm considering as I want the speedo to be accurate.
Cheers guys

if the stock profile is 205 55 r15 and u want to get 225 50 r15
it seems the stock rolling diameter will be slightly larger than new rolling diameter, so that will affect the accuracy of ur speedo a little bit
so, if ur speedo reads 80, then ur really doin 78 or so, not much at all really
the new tyre is 20mm thicker, i dont have a prelude, so im not sure how tight the wheel well is
but i think 2cm isnt much, u shoodnt have scrubbing at stock height or even after u lower....
but im not sure, usually if ur goin for a thicker tyre, u get new rims with a lower offset, so the wheels stick out slighlty more than stock, giving u more room for a wider tyre
i reckon ull be fine though, but double check with som1 who has a prelude
