ok,
i need to change my brake pads coz my current ones are stuffed. my old man said there are two types of brake pads. one is a standard and another is slightly more expensive which has metal in it or some crap like that. i had no idea what he was talking about. he said it would be a bit more expensive but it would last longer than the standard ones. can anyone tell me what type of pads he was talking about? its for an ek1. i just want basic brakes....nothing flashy ie heavy duty etc. can i get them at supercheap? coz i want to change them today aswell

there helps of diff pad out there ...

ur old man was prolli talking abt the pad material

oem honda pads are good .. there are quit and not much dust .. plus it last for ages .. and are very gentle on the rotors

cheapo after market pads are sometimes noisy, dont last long and kills the rotors... so in a long run it cost u more

oem honda pads are somewhere around $150 for the front

after market can go from $40 to $400 for peformance branded stuff

You will not really benefit from semi metallic pads... They will probably last a bit longer and be more expensive but a standard pad will last a few years anyway
