Anyone know the specs of the FD2 HU output for the speakers? Im looking to upgrade my 4 speakers but dont want to buy speakers with overkill specs (e.g. RMS). No amps or subs are involved (wont be installing them).
Looking to get some components for the fronts and a better bass for the rear. Honda has the bass works but its not worth it. Are there other brands out there thats like the bass works and takes advantage of the din socket?

Can someone recommend

thanks

I know where you are coming from.

I have fitted the bass works as I do not want a massive speaker in the boot and want to keep things looking oem.
just bought a high efficient component speaker off ebay (93 db) whic I will place in the front doors to complement it.

If you troll thru 8thcivic.com, you will find certain infinity and focal speakers are popular.

I have Alpine type S components in front and stock at rear, and they sound GOOD, But i am amping them with an amplifier.
But the effect of component speakers as compare to stock speakers is HUGE.

Just wondering if ill get distortion if i upgrade to components. No subs/amps and not turned up stupidly high. I remember upgrading my old cars fronts and it was distorted big time. I could hear the snap crackle and pop at low volume

did u leave ur rice bubbles in there?

im very interested as well. i got a sub in the boot but thinking of changin the speakers. the amps a mono so i wont be changing that so the speakers wont be amped... probably best to go low wattage. im not the expert tho..

Its not so much the low wattage that is a factor but the sensitivity. You should fit speakers that are 92 DB or better.
