Hi

Im looking at buying some aftermarktet rims that are supposedly light weight. Im more function over show so if the stock rims were to weigh less then the rims im interested in, i would rather the stockies.

The rims i would be getting weigh about 8kg. If any1 could direct me (or tell me) how much a stock EG VTi civic rim weighs, i would appreciate it.

thanks

AFAIK the VTi never came with "rims" - only steel wheels with hubcaps.
Without tyres ,they weight around 5kg or so. Add tyre + air = around 12-15kg or os.

for a crx, civic never came with it from factory, might have been a dealer option.

Like i said, Del Slow rims, but they could have been a DEALER option. Its funny when ppl sell their cars, claiming to have factory wheels on it, when all they got is AUSCAR rims with a honda sticker on them.

I tried to claim i had factory rims on my vti, i have fat fives, when i was getting insurance quote, and the woman on the phone tell me my model never came out with factory wheels, the explained to me that they're probably a dealer option, me playing dumb just agreed

my fat fives weight 7.5Kg, they were made by ARE ( american racing equipment ) as OE wheels. Not a light weight wheel by any means.

stock 14" EG steelies on my EG5 weighted 8Kg

the rota's seem to be pretty light for a cheapish cast wheel if you like them ie slipstream 15x6.5 for 5.44kg according to wheelweight's data.

i have the factory brochure of the eg's and in the accesories and it has it there as a OPTION
so its something new u learnt today benjammin
theres a blue eg going around my way that has these factory wheels on it!
