Just wondering if anyone knows the model number for the power FC to suit a ek4?

I've noted that Apexi only have DC2r & Ek9 with the following model numbers;

# 414AH004
# 414AH003

Can someone tell me which one is the correct Power FC?

would also like to know if we can use one of these for non type r motors

for example can we use PFC for dc2r- use for b18c, or PFC for EK9-use for b16a?????

1. I'm running the 414-H001 it works perfectly for my b16a2. I suggest that you use this particular unit if your EK4 is 96-98.

2. Absolutely, you can definately use the power fc with Type-R base maps, on your Vti-r B18c2 as well as Vti-r B16a2 trouble free. However i will warn you that if you drive the vehicle (UNTUNED) for extended periods of time, you'd be gambling your engine as the PFC only comes with base/simple programming.

Hope this helps, :thumbsup:

Correct, the only thing that matters is A. make sure you get your year correct for OBD purposes & B. make sure you get a DOHC VTEC version. 1.6-1.8 does not matter...:thumbsup:

Model i'm using is 414-H001;)
Enjoy!

why would there be to different part numbers? assuming both cars should be OBD2 and both twin cam VTEC

maybe comes with a base map of some sort i guess?

Nope base maps are virtually identical, one is OBD2a the other is OBD2b that's why there are different part numbers. OBD2a is EK4 and such 96-98 OBD2b is 99-01 the two have different plug sections on ecu's and will only work if Matched properly.

Cheers, :thumbsup:

Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups, just pop open your panel and have a look mang! it's best that you put fourth some technical initiative and get to know your car better.

Get back to us with your results, i personally think you'd be correct. it would be poor form for me to think that anything isn't possible. (Variables) it could have already been modded/harness converted. late92/early92 best always to know exactly what were dealing with.

soz, no there is no power fc for 92 civic with b16 that i know of. Also you sure it's a2? i thought those were a3 engines with the itr intake cam...?!?
