I might need a b18c or a dc2r fuel rail..

Just wondering if there is any real difference/gain from a b18c, dc2r or aftermarket fuel rails.

Would a b18c/vtir rail be fine for say a basicish b20vtec build?

yeah there are slight differences dan, but try match the inlet manifold to the rail :)

but if u have a b16a already, it wil be fine for b18c

quick reply..
well if i go itr manifold.. i will need a b18 rail..

i presume the b18c/vtir rail will flow fine for a b20vtec.. no need for a dc2r?

and all b16a/b18c/dc2r injectors would all fit the b18c rail.. maybe some washer adjustments though (from what i read) ?

if ur going itr manifold, a b16a rail and any b18 rail will also work fine. and all the injectors are the same in terms of physical placement

not necessarily, the castings didnt all come out with exact tolerances. however with the variations between b16a/b-b18c-b20 the most you should have to do is remove your insulators so as to line up the injector ports in the intake manifold with any of the above fuel rails.

sorry to hijack,

can someone please post a pic of a factory B16 & B18 fuel rail?

I have a very rectangualr one and suspect it's aftermarket (i'm not sure i've only had the car just over a month) and i'm trying to track down why the hell i'm running sooooo rich.

rectangular one is from the b16. b18's come with the cylinder looking ones.

a b16a rail doesnt work on an ITR manifold.. makes the fpr hit something or something like that..

so in conclusion there is little differenence between a b18c and dc2r fuel rail.. and both will be sufficient for a b20vtec?

HAHA the fpr hit something or something? i've already told you how to make it work ;) as for the b16a/b, b18c/b18cr fuel rail, they are all plenty capable of use til you reach the 400+whp mark. if you have a turbo setup you're likely to need something a bit more than standard.

N/A any of the b series fuel rail's above mentioned will suffice!

What's this all for anyways mang? :p

i am not yet in the installation process

just gathering info first..

well the pic is of a b16a1 fuel rail.. and an itr manifold.

maybe the a2's are revised?

yeh they are way different from that pic, as well as the throttle cable bracket. and i don't know if your engine has egr? i made an egr delete plate. don't believe everything you read mang. i would be more capable of helping you if you have some pics of your fuel rail, throttle cable bracket, fpr and intake manifold;)

b16a from gen 1's are different to b16a's from EG's and EK's. That's y your FPR is hitting. A b16a gen 2 will fit onto a ITR intake manifold no worries and vice verser.

flip your bracket around and adjust your throttle cable to suit:thumbsup:

i know not to believe everything i read

http://www.integra.orcon.net.nz/manifold
/\ good writeups by a guy with a b16a1

for a b16a1 according to him, you need:
b18c fuel rail
b18c/b16a2 icv
dc2r throttle cable bracket

i believe you are just saying a b16a2 rail will probably work as well

no egr that i know of either

Dan, my bad, forgot, u have a b16a from the obd0 where the FPR sits in the middle more, i was thinking of the b16a ones with the FPR's on the end just like the b18cs.

If you get into the shitter over it, i'll look to see if i have a spare u can have for free

cheers..

knew the a1 rail wouldnt fit etc.. just wanted confirmation on various minor details..
as everyone knows, its always good to get confirmation then put crap together and find it doesnt work

digging up an old thread here, but after hours of searching I had to ask.

Is it possible to just move the FPR from the middle and swap it with the blanking plate that is on the end of the fuel rail? (gen 1 b16a of course)
I am getting everything sorted for my blox intake setup to go on and its driving me crazy trying to find the info I need.

Just use a B16A2 fuel rail, they're cheap as 2nd hand & the look good too.
