hi i have no experience with hid before. i was browsing through ebay and looked at some hids... cheaper than excpected. They were about $150 - $300
is there really any difference in the good and bad hid. Does the brand really matter for hid?

i think its the ballast.. that determine whether its shit or not..
if problems would arise would come from the ballast..

i bought a pair of hid's from ebay..
it came in 2 weeks and when it arrived i installed them and they worked fine until 3 mins later found that one of the ballasts were ****ed and i had to buy a new one for 40 bux from the same seller which was totally unnecessary. The new ballast came and i installed it and it has been working fine until now which has been around 3 months already.

still taiwanese shit.
$300 ones are just overpriced ebay ones.
i'm sure the cheaper ones will be fine... of course the more expensive ones are probably better in quality and u can get ones made in japan. however if u go for ebay ones, make sure u get the warranty with it.
^^^ this other dude above who paid for a new ballast for $40 shouldn't have had to as there should be a warranty with it. that's what u call dodgy seller. make sure the seller isn't dodgy coz ebay is filled with lots of those...
