Hi all,

How many km your car has? I have been reading this US forums and Accords there are doing some unreal miles, something like 300,00 miles (500,000km) and more. What is your ODO reading and how old is your Accord?

I am hitting 180,000km and my CD5 is 13 years old. It is still in a beautiful condition still and drives like a dream. It does get regular services though.

What is the highest mileage you have seen on accords so far with no engine recondition?

That thread is something like 3 years old..Many people have purchased their Accords in that time and I was wondering what is the highest ODO reading for the age of a car.

280,000km - that is huge! Have you changed anything on your engine? Re-condition it or something?

We've owned it since new. It's an F22a non-VTEC SOHC. The engine is still good. It's on the 2nd fuel filter (just replaced last year in May at about 260,000km. Old filter was full of gunk!). Spark plugs replaced when needed and air filter is cleaned every service. Oil and oil filter is replaced every 8-12 months. So it is on a bit of a povo pack DIY service.

The auto gearbox is the weakpoint. The original autobox crapped out at 6 years by losing 2nd gear, caused by a clogged strainer (scheduled service interval for ATF was too long) . Got it overhauled and rebuilt but it crapped out again after 3 months. It was rebuilt once more but the same problem came back. We then bought a 2nd hand autobox from a written off JDM CD4 imported as a halfcut. That 2nd hand autobox is still running good for the past 7 years with a yearly ATF change.

Oh and it's on its second VSS, CV joints, engine mounts and transmission mount.
