EDITED: See down the page for my next question please!

Hey guys, i've got a 1995 Vti Civic hatch with a B18C2 in it, and i'm trying to find a good cat-back exhaust to buy. I've been contacting some dealers, but they've been asking me whether i've got an EG6 or an EG9 - Can someone explain to me what the difference is, and which model of exhaust i'll need to fit my hatch?

Thanks!

Awesome, so could someone please confirm for me that this Kakimoto exhaust will fit my hatch?

I understand absolutely zero japanese so i'm pretty lost. I tried to navigate the kakimoto page as best i could, and i'm pretty sure thats for an EG6, but i just wanted to be sure before i drop a grand for it!

IF you want the best exhaust for your car then get an aftermarket brand one or go custom which is abit larger then the stock one.

Anyway, back to the thread - i've gotta pay the importer soon for the exhaust and i need to make sure that this is the correct one. Can someone help me out please?

No mate, you don't understand. I'm importing that exhaust from Japan - its a genuine Kakimoto exhaust. The thing is, i'm telling the importer which model number i want them to bring in, and i want to make sure i'm telling him the correct model - basically i don't want to end up with an exhaust that i've paid $1000 for and have it not fit my car.

So my question is quite simple - will that exhaust (http://www.kakimotoracing.co.jp/image_HS312.html) fit my EG hatch??

Get the EG6 which is an EG hatchback.

Holy hell - are you purposely trying to be as unhelpful as possible??

All i'm after is a simple yes/no answer. If you don't know the answer then don't reply to this thread - its not that hard a concept to understand.

OK, forget it. What i was after was anybody that is familiar with Kakimoto exhausts or could read Japanese and could identify whether this particular model is the correct one for an EG6. I already know that i need an EG6 exhaust, i was just asking a specific question.

Oh give me a break. I was asking quite a simple question, and i kept getting answers that didn't help at all, and then people kept replying having clearly not read what i'd just written.

Yes. The exhaust is for an EG6/EG4 hatchback. Suits D15B or B16A.
Price should only be approx $700 plus freight though. I just checked with my Japanese friend.

Is this worthy of a QP +1 point ??

Holy shit..you are rude..even when asking for help. I'm surprised anyone helped you at all cause you certainly don't deserve it.

Its a forum...nobody reads the bottom of the thread before answering, so they won't see your last question before answering. Do you even know how forums work.

geez, you are rude...:thumbdwn:

Thanks for that mate - it was just the sort of answer i was hoping for. Seeing as its just a cat-back, and i've got a B18C in mine, it won't be a problem will it?

I don't think its unrealistic to expect that people at least read through one page of a thread before they answer. Call me an optimist but i personally think that any intelligent human being would do that, for the very reason we've seen illustrated in this thread.. But hey, if you'd prefer to post "answers" to a thread that don't pertain to the questions at all, be my guest..

Shouldn't matter that you have a B18C, the cat back exhaust is the same, as it's designed for the EG civic hatch.
