Hi there dude. I currently have a set of tein ss on my ek, and for street use I find them more than adequate. They are not the firmest sussy by far, but they are a vast improvement on my stock shock and lowered springs set up. Also being damper adjustable, you can adjust just how firm you'd like the ride to be. The thing that would most probably affect your decision would be the price difference between the 2. If there isn't much of a difference, i would go for the tein ss.

If you plan to never track your car tein SS is fine. It's kinda weird you comparing 2 thing when one is half the price of another.
coilovers over springs anyday.

can't really compare springs vs coilovers.
spoon springs are good for street coz they arnt too hard. tein ss are soft too.
spoon springs would be the cheaper options as the drop is not THAT much, so its fine to use on stock shocks.
if ur not trackn it or going hard thru the mountains, just get the cheaper spoon springs.
I know coilovers are a lot better. i was mainly looking for feedback to see if anyone has tried the two. Probably unlikely and ill go for the coilovers anyway.
lol 1000 dollars in difference thought i would as to check anyway. Tien SS it is i believe!

I have track numerous times and I am using Tein SS. Am I doing something wrong here?

I've got stiff coilovers (11kg/mm F - 7kg/mm R | car weight is 950kg) and its too stiff for street driving. Smooth roads are fine but bumpy mountain roads can be dangerous because the wheels are actually leaving the road at different points in time.
When i revise my suspension setup i'm going to get better bars BEFORE choosing the coilovers. I think Tein SS (or something similiar ie softer then what i've got atm) with a great set of bars would be a great setup for both street (mountain) and track.
Tyres are your friend too! :D:D
once again its TEIN not TIEN

What combos or coilovers is the best for road? the softest and comfortable one?

I can't really advise cause i've only had stock and hard coilovers (ksport with the spring rates mentioned above.)
Something with a softer spring rate would be good. Damper adjustbility is awesome too and really helps fine tune the ride quality.
once again its TEIN not TIEN

Ive had spoon springs on my integra and they are great
They are progressive springs so its great for just normal driving on the streets and when you wanna give it a hit they will stiffen up also.
I had them with koni yellows (shocks) which allowed me to adjust the damper.
nice upgrade i reckon. You really need to sit in a car with some 1 who has them.
softer spring like tein ss, or just replacement spring absorbs bumps better than a backbreaker hard spring.
spoon spring with oem stock is ok but its better to get uprated or adjustables.
otherwise guaranteed in an older car it will be like a pogostick
