Sico, are you talking the fastest dc2 in this forum, or in the world?

tinkerbell

my DA9 would have to be faster than most of the NA DC2's and DC5's around here...

120kw AFW...

Its hard to say who has fastest and most powerfull DC2, because different dynos give out different results and 0-400 times also can vary due to temperature and choice of tires.
Only way to know is if everyone went on same dyno or whatver.

13.725secs@101mph sounds pretty quick to me ;)
But I suppose it's not a DC and certainly not a B18 :) (Dave how much lighter is a stock DA than a DC?)
There's a few quick Integras on the forums...red ones....grey ones....... :P
If you search for the reflection thread from Dyno Day 1, there should be a list of figures from all cars that ran that day. Thats a decent representation of the Sydney 'tegs. :)

LOL !

my mate Miraiz Turbo Honda Integra Type R kicks some asses
click on the link named Miraiz Turbo Type R

or direct link:

Miraiz Turbo Type R (http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/400923)
The guy who is building it tested it on a strip and recorded an 11.6, however Mirai has only personally achieved a 12.2.

weren't you using drag radials?

i think blackdc2 got a very similar time in his street trim... 13.8 wasn't it?

well, that is easy, the fastest DC2 i know going around wakefield doing low 1:12's was STOCK! (except for pads and fluid)

yes i was, and yeah, blackDC2 got about 13.8 - with no interior stripped like mine was... he is running Toda cams, Motec ECU, forged internals etc etc

ginganggooly - can you think of any other NA DC2's that might be that fast? ie are 'most' of them that fast or is that faster than 'most' of them?

ginganggooly

blackdc2's dc2 would be about the quickest i know of. don't often hear about them dipping into the 13's. i freely admit that i know didly squat when it comes to the fwd drag scene though ;)

how much of an improvement did you get from the drag radials? was the 60' below 2.0??

ginganggooly
08-07-2004, 02:18 PM
oh yeah, and i hear that the black 'coog' dc2r is running some nasty b20 vtec in it these days. my friend saw it pulling on skylines down the straight at wakefield, so i guess that one must be in the running for quickest (street) na dc2 too.

my quickest 60ft = 1.9 but my quickest ET was done with a 2.1 sec 60ft time

was this on the old track configuration or the current one?? and wasnt that with RE540's???

Quickest DC2 I have seen around a track (aside from Nations cup etc) was Dean Rodgers in Supersprints. He ran a 1:11:8 at Wakefield and I 1:52:XX at Eastern creek. That was with RE540's, exhaust, PFC and front camber kit.

Don't know about 1/4 mile drag.

was this a black one(i think) ??? croydon tuned the power fc in that, the power fc was pretty much designed to give him a higher rev limit...

Nah was red, same one though I think as it was croydon tuned and had a 9400rpm rev limit, mostly only taken to 9100 though. Higher rev limit to save having to change up a gear.

Richard C sure is an excellent driver and has given me a few tips that really helped. I still have such a lot to learn though! Any other quick dc2's down 1/4?

Hey guys, i've been for a spin in this thing and it's awesome, it made me want to get a type R, but it's not a b20 bottom end though ;)

There is a www.autospeed.com.au article about a dc2r with A'PEXi Power FC, spec C Toda cams, NSX injectors and lots of other stuff.. that revs to 10500rpm and is said to make 190-200kw (i assume at the flywheel)..

the article says the guy plans to run 12's in it.

oh okay, the owners ex gf told me that... it was off the road for ages right?
rumor had it that it was getting some motor made in the states.

what is it running?

I cbf reading everything....

Unless everyone went to the same dyno on the same day, personally those pieces of paper are just estimations and dont mean alot...
Thats my 2 cents

Coog's car was toda stroked :D
off the road for about a yr. Dropped a valve while they were tuning it which cost another month or so lol - covered under warranty by toda!!

He managed a 13.4s 1/4 in street trim and i think it was a 2.4 60ft.

However, there's been a few more changes to it so I'm not sure what its got now.
Closer ratio box I believe.

that is *almost* worth a very high 12 if he could nail a sub 2.0 60 ft time...
