researching best local manufactured product (trying to support our local manufacturers :-)) I came across unifilter. it replaces the airbox with a "pod" type filter - i guess its called a rampod.

anybody had experience with this product for their euro?

I had one in my dc2r sounds fantastic very loud up top, however your car will suck in hot air and lose loads of bottom end and most likely increase your fuel consumption cos you will be mashing the gas to get past the bottom end rpm

I won't be any different to any other SRI -- just any make/manufacturer.

to me, it's like those JDM foam filters (e.g. HKS, GReddy) that's massive LOL i m guessing if u use that on a euro, u will need to make a box to keep the hot air out.

I see a pod but I don't see any ram effect.

They are assuming that if the "pod" is facing forward, it can be considered as having a ram air effect LOL!

Better keeping the intake stock than going short ram sitting in engine bay. Everything gets so incredibly hot in the engine bay even after a short drive. I still think the Icebox is one of the best intakes for the Euro.

stay keep it cool.. pod must be using box to make the inside cold... CAI always the best i think..

Enclosed pod with cold air feed > CAI, I think.

might use aaronng's "ghetto(TM) airbox" setup as a DIY project. Thanks for the feedback
