was just wondering how you would go putting wrx sti buckets in a 97 hatchy

get some brackets made up ( try to find a m/s fabricator )
or talk to subaru and see if they can do something for you but i think they wont touch it ..

from what i have seen in the past, these seats seem to be physically very large, i think the space requirements might be an issue for you mate.

my boss has an 07 sti and after sitting in them there an awesome seat but going buy the size of them theres no way they will fit in any honda hatch, they are almost too big for the interior of the rexys imo, only just fit in.

i dont no bout sti
it may b too wide???

I've had 2 99sti seats in my car, but i couldn't keep them because the owner wanted them back. They can fit in the eg but yeah a tight squeeze and from memory 3 out of 4 holes lined up. This was EG and not EK though
