Recently bought a 98 Civic GLi sedan. Hav put a 2" exhaust, pod filter, sound system and clear taillights on already plus a few other little things. Was planning on doing some more stuff to the exhaust system(extractors, high flow cat) but was unsure whether or not to do it as eventually I would like to buy a VTec engine for it. I'm only new to the car scene and just wondering what people suggest I should do. Love my Honda and need to know some mods I can do to make it a bit quicker, any advice would help. I have about $4-5g to spend.

WELCOME. yeh turbo is easiest. no point getting extractors now and high flow cat if you're gonna turbo it anyway. not sure if b16c or h22a would be an easy conversion to your car. u can do that, then later on turbo it. but i strongly discourage u from getting extractors and high flow cat until u know what u really want to do (if you're getting a new engine or not).

i m not sure how a b16c would go compare to the other b16 avaliable... never heard of it.. but could be some rare stuff i neva heard of.. .
for 4-5k... u could probaly get a b16a2 conversion done to it. or maybe a b18c (from dc2)

Thanx guys. Any idea how much a turbo conversion would cost and anywhere that does it around the Northern NSW/South East QLD area? Should I just turbo the engine that I hav or get a whole new engine?

That's sorta a how long is a piece of string question, you could spend as little as 2 or 3 grand on a setup, but it would not be as good as spending 6 or 7!!
