Just wondering how much people have paid for these tyres.

I have been speaking to ozzy tyres and they initially quoted me 170, but after some haggling they offered 150, imo there is more to come off though, so i am curious as to how much other people have paid for exactly the same tyres

maybe this format:

date of purchase:
number of tyres purchased:
location:

I paid $160 from TypePower, but I had a flat and all four were flat so I didn't have a choice. Plus they were kind enough to go and pick them up (didn't have them in stock) so I didn't try to haggle.

I'm sure $140 is reasonable, fitted.

Awesome tyre.

got quoted $144 ( from Bob Jane in Perth ) for the just released Bridgestone Re001 Adrenalian 195/50R15 , and the Yoko S drive is very similar in price as well. I would go for these 2 tyres long before I would consider Toyos.

I find many retailers push the Toyos, Kumhos, Kellys, Hankook, Falkens very hard over the established brands such as Bridgestones, Dunlops, Michelin/BFG because of much better margins, more rebates/incentives and better credit terms for them.

well i have heard many people speak highly of t1r's on this forum alone. i have them, and have found them to be excellent so far.

T1r tends to hv a softer sidewall i bliff, but re001 195/50/15 listed in bridgestone stockstack sale for 129 each so i guess re001 will be an alternative as well

Yes they do tend to have softer sidewalls BUT just gotta make sure you have enough air in your tyres. I wouldnt go below 32psi, i ran about 36psi in my tyres and they handle perfectly. Thats with 195/55/15.

Bridgestone Re001 Adrenalian 195/50R15 is cheap now, but be aware of the load rating, they only got 82, and AFAIK EG needs 82 on a 14" wheel, DC2R needs 84 on a 15" wheel.

DC2R AUDM comes with 195/55R15 not 195/50R15, I will be seriously surprised if the load of the RE001 rating isn't 84 or higher. S drive on my DC2R is 85 in comparsion.

I my price was for 205/45/16.
After being so happy about it, I got another friend to get a set from yonas, 195/50/15.
155 each fitted balanced.

got mine for 175 from yonas, and I guess I got few buck ripped off man... :(
well... I asked him if he can do 179 deal on his old thread so I guess we both won!
I am very happy with the tire, best I ever had so far...

whats the life on these tyres like? are they a very soft compound?

string
24-07-2007, 12:43 PM
Reasonably soft, but far from the softness of an r-comp, pretty good tyre. A bit flexy on the sidewall but it's a road tyre so that's expected. I'd rate the eagle f1 (or whatever it's called now) above it. Feels less squirmy, stiffer on the sidewall, and just plain looks better. But, you pay for it.

I paid $145 per corner about a year and a half ago for 195/55/15 from yonas. Great price and speedy service, recommended.
