Hi guys,
I've got a VAFC1 wired to my ECU and right now it is not controlling anything except the VTEC crossover point which has been lowered to 4900RPM by the previous owner. I was told that I required the VAFC1 to control the VTEC solenoid as, the car has been fitted with a JDM B18CR but running a reprogrammed OBD1 ECU, as such ECUs are incapable of dealing with VTEC.
My question is, is it safe to leave the setting as it is now? Like I said it's not doing anything except controlling the VTEC crossover, and the fuel map is not tuned at all, it's running on default settings. I'm thinking getting Power FC along the route so I don't really want to go on dyno before that.
