Hey guys,

in a recent discussion with my mechanic who is also a custom fabricator and has done many intake plenums, itbs, exhaust manifolds for both n/a and turbo applications, i have decided to become a guinea pig for the production of a new airbox/ intake kit that will plumb a direct cold air feed to an enclosed pod filter for a dc5 along the lines of grouppe m style, but at a fraction of the cost. All air boxes will be hand made in Australia. He wanted me to find out any interest and concerns from other DC5 owners... im not trying to sell anything here as there is nothing to sell... just trying to gauge interest and other important information/ feedback on previously experienced intakes. Any help would greatly appriecated and I will keep you guys informed of progress of a proto type.

Matt

i was speaking to nick, mechanic/ fabricator today. he is pretty excited with it. he will be getting my car for 2 weeks while im in japan for a holiday to measure and make moulds for the prototype which will be made in fibreglass at first (for the one off to see how things flow) and so ajdustments can be made. From there he will use carbon fibre for construction of the finished products. there may acutually be a few models for different cars depending on how many different cars he can get his hands on to make direct fitments for.
this is taking place in melbourne and is due to start in a little over 4 weeks.

ill keep you all posted as i speak to him more.
