they are mean't to smoothe out the vibes (oem)

they are meant to be stiff as hell (aftermarket)

innovatives have considerably less vribrations than the inserts. mine feel like stock.

although the kit comes only with the two side mounts and the rear. the front mount is sold seperately. so your going to have to get the innovative front or new oem since yours is broken.

thanks for the advice... so you reccomend going the innovative front mount over stock... is there engine response and less wheel hop? whats involved in installing it?

Why would you spend $600 for mounts that feel like stock. Its gonna be either OEM and weak or aftermarket and strong.

I rekn deal with the vibrations.

I have innovative mounts in my DC5R.

Vibrate like hell especially when the A/C is on. I can see my window wipers shaking! Over time though the vibration lessen.

No engine moment and wheel hopping!

Recommend it if you like driving your car fairly hard! I certainly do!

Innovative mounts need to take time to SIT IN.....when you 1st install them the tend to vibrate a lot but over time it will sit in and dun vibrate as much....if you want harder engine mount but not vibrate as much....you can try to get mugen....its harder then stock but not like innovative or insert....let me know if you want one....can hook you up with some good deal....

Mugen is what you want

innovative= wheelhops killer....the cons is ur stock front engine mount killer as well....:D

if u use mugen and u r the hard driver, i will expect ur mugen mount might broke again after 40k kms

if u r a hard driver...it will broke again...cause mugen is just OEM style with harder rubber....but of cause can last longer than OEM (2X i think)..

dc5 had 4 mount....front,rear,both side..usually wat u bought is just both side and rear, and initially purchase the front 1....of cause u can purchase all 4...but then it just cost u 700++ to just get the set of mount...

Just wondering.. what happen if one of the mount broke? wouldnt the engine will drop or something

and how the hell can the engine mount break? I never hear any problem with my cars that engine mount break  that's why I never know about this engine mount thing

thats what i want to know as well...

i get this "bok" noise when i corner hard, or go over speed bumps, and i've been wondering if its my engine mounts.

instead of my vtec fell out - "my engine fell out yo?"

imo i think its a must to upgrade your engine mounts if your thinking of running aftermarket headers or heavy duty clutch. oem dc5 mounts really do suck.

youve got a number of options to overcome this issue.
esmm inserts for the torque mounts
sikaflex oem mounts
solid replacement mounts like hasport, innovative, mugen
or the use of a torque damper

engine wont fall out lol

the Mazda3 MPS is known to break engine mounts because of all that torque, so if you drive your dc5 hard all the time, then the engine mounts will blow.
usually it's the one near the abs unit that goes first, this is a liquid filled engine mount.
I have broken this mount 3 times in 4 years. They were all oem mounts.

after i change to ORC clutch for 4 months, my front mount broke...usually it won't broke if u only had a minor mod. on ur car (catback, intake, etc)....
