DC2 Handbrake in a Civic coupe EJ8

Im buying a stock handbrake off a DC2 i was wondering if it would be easily fitted into a 97 CIVIC COUPE?

i dont think it will, because a ITR hand brake cover wont fit over a EK handbrake if that makes sense. The ITR hand brake is further back.
