hey guys
umm yeah my car is stalling just recently
dunno what it is.
it has a slight lag when driving then if the revs is on idol the car struggles to stay on idol and the battery light comes on.
got no clue
possibly idol sensor or sum shit?
ps. dc2r

:)

Alternator is dead

When the revs are up the alternator is able to produce a tad more power thus keeping it alive
Where as at idle it's not making enough juice to keep the car running thus it dies

I put $10 on alternator

Jack up a multimeter to the battery terminals

Car off battery should be 12V -/+

Car on batter should be 14V -/+ Then rev the car and as you rev the Voltage should only fluctuate up to 0.3V -/+

If the voltage is around 12V mark when the car is running that means your alternator is shot

If the voltage is fluctuating as your rev the car between say 14V and 16V that means the alternator regulator is shot

If the voltage is fluctuation as you rev the car between say 12V and 16V that means both the alternator and regulator are shot

You will either need two people to do this one to look at the multimeter while the other revs or one person if you know how to rev the car from the engine bay

Care to share what was wrong then rather than keeping it to yourself?

It is either the alternator or the ignition timing.

idle contol value

go do a ecu test first

But the battery light?

Doesnt that light come on when u stall the car with all the other lights like the engine check etc ?

"the car struggles to stay on idol and the battery light comes on"

That reads as the light comes on as the car as the car is still on

the guy is fobby and isn't specify more details enough about the issue and cant spell and is a newcomer ? LOL

if the engine stalls the battery light usually stays on anyway ( same as accessory signal on 2nd turn of key) So it might not be the alternator.
Could be MAP sensor disconnected , or ICAV disconnected / fkd or main relay dead.

Try this DIY ECU test dude and see if it throws a code

He hasn't replied yet to elaborate more on the issue so I can only really suggest things from what he originally said

Yes the battery light will come on once it has stalled but if its still idling albeit roughly it should stay off

thats if he means it stays on while the car idles lol.
*hurry up*
