What are trumpets and what situations would you use them? Are they only for highly tuned applications?

Some one can post a pic, its just like the large end of a trumpet (the one you play). Yes you only need them when you know what you are doing and have a desent setup because it takes alot of calculations to set them up. They sit on the end of your inlet manifold runners and "funnel" the air into the runner, because every time your valve shuts the air gets pushed back out the runner. it then bounces off the top of the plenum and goes back into the runner.
