Actually, what would the benefits of diesel be?

I know it would be more environmentally friendly but the fuel consumption isn't that high anyway. And it's probably not thatl for towing a boat either?

Better fuel consumption the Honda 2.2 litre turbo diesel which also offers great torque with Jazz like economy on a fairly heavy car thats a sweet trade off plus i always prefer to use pulp at the pump diesel is usually about the same price

Fair enough comments...

Personally I haven't had very good impressions of diesel engines. They're a bit too noisy for my liking but the fuel economy would definitely make a difference.

I was put off buying the Prado/Hilux because of the noise and the petrol versions would bump up the consumption to about 14L/100km+ compared with less than 10L/100km for the diesel engines.

fuel economy is amazing with the honda diesels

i was speaking to a guy at honda aust that was test driving a diesel euro for a few weeks. i think he said he was getting something ridiculous like 1300km out of a tank (could be wrong, cant remember)

Do you guys notice that diesel is much cheaper than ULP?
When ULP was at $1.39, the diesel was still at $1.24. That was in VIC
:O i was surprised cause usually diesel is more exp than ULP.
