Is it just me? I click on it and it says you have to wait 20 seconds to do this again bla bla please try again in 525074667 seconds...

Which is about 16 years. lol

It has always been the case mate,
"NewPosts" is classified as a search and you're limited to the amount of searches you can do every 45 seconds or something.
It's to control spam.

JasonGilholme

yeah it says every 20 seconds but he's saying that its telling him that he has to wait for 16 years in order to make a new search.

16 years? Figure of speech me thinks...

Eclipsor

no it literally says "please try again in 525074667 seconds"

which is roughly 16 years.

edit: down to 525073841 now. YEAH.

Newposts should work FINE....i refresh my like every 10 seconds.

Qball you have mislead a member....45 second rule only applies to when posting.

But as for newposts....should work fine ? i just push new posts 3 times in 10 seconds to try it out.

NEG REP FOR QBALL EVERYONE AHAHAHAHHA jk jk

I LOVE U TOO MANGGG

You're a true idiot ;)
We have no refresh restrictions as we're mods...NOOB!

Normal members have limits on the number of times they can search in a given amount of time!!

JasonGilholme

i don't think restarting will help actually.

it might be a server side issue.

not just only the 'new post', pretty much the whole 'search' function isnt working properly.

for example i click on JasonGilholme public profile, then click either Find all threads started by JasonGilholme (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/search.php?do=process&showposts=0&starteronly=1&exactname=1&searchuser=JasonGilholme) or Find all posts by JasonGilholme (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/search.php?do=finduser&u=7030) ..

same error occurs.

"This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between searches. Please try again in 525067671 seconds."

so.. can i just create some super n00b thread? and say i did search, it just dun come up :p

JasonGilholme

....i feel violated..... :p

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/search.php?searchid=887792

Does that link work for ya?

STTICH

sorry Jase, just happen to use the person before my post as an example. :)

nope, ur link dont work either.

error : " Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "

mayb its my comp? i'll try clear out cookies.

JasonGilholme

i reckon that link will have timed out. bein a generated search and all.

Its as if the server has logged a time and date for one of your searches that is in the future. and won't let you search until 20 seconds after that time.

STTICH

have cleared/deleted all recent net files, cookies.

still doesnt work. error apprears everytime im trying to search post/thread created by any members.

but i guess, no fuss, i'll just ....search less :)

It's a server side issue which should be rectified by now. Anyone still having problems?

STTICH
09-06-2007, 04:10 AM

"This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between searches. Please try again in 525067671 seconds."
