gday i have 94 dc2 vtir

im in the stage of buying an exhaust for the teg, im needing something thats guna make a clean sound, not too interested in making alot of noise, just something deep and enough so you know im there if i pull up next to you.

im thinkin going for a xforce twin loop, or a xforce oval muffler

so either an MP02(oval) or a twinloop

if anybody can help me make a decision!

cheers

TAM R just put on an xforce twin loop on his dc2r, hes got a thread in the appearance gallery, hit him up.

Just some forewarning, people on here will recommend you don't buy an exhaust unless is worth more that a thousand dollars... dont listen to them dude, do whats right for you.

In saying that, you do get what you pay for, im still running stock exhaust as i prefer the induction sound, but am starting to consider something quiet that allows better flow.

go twinloop with 1 resonator. Its quiet enough and then will be loud enough when you floor it.

i say get a spoon n1 axle back like i will hopefully sometime soon. they sound awesome! you'll need a silencer though. they're hella loud =D but if you don't like them well go for the oval xforce muffler. i don't like the twin loops.

i had a spoon n1 with 2 resonators on my dc2 with a 2.25" press bent b pipe. not too loud, nice little growl on idle and beautiful roar when u hit vtec but nothing stupid or too attention grabbing.

im in the market for the same thing on the same car of the same year =)

i did want toda 4-2-1 + toda hi-flo cat and mugen cat back (twin loop)

budget willing i may have to drop back to x-force 2.5" cat back oval twin loop or oval

iv heard there are fitment issues with x-force headers tho so now im hesitent, might spend a bit more n get 5zigen or even splurge and get toda =)

never considered that bungsai, how much is that kind of set up? is it a canon type, im gona stay away from the canons lol

aydo14 hit the nail on the head for the description of what i want too lol

I heard a twin loop the other day and it sounded like a fart http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/runaway.gif

xforce twinloop s10, i have one with a hotdog resonator and its very very quiet during normal driving, can barely notice. but once you go past 4000rpm its a monster. sounds awesome.
it may sound like a fart cannon if you dont have a resonator at all.
you can get the same sound level with two resonators and a reliable cannon muffler. but waste of money and i prefer the twin loop look.
up to you.

a friend of mine has a twinloop on his teg with a 2.25 cat back and one resonator.

its very quiet, sound stock at idle, and when cruising it sounds like when you are giving the stock muffler some higher revs.

when revving high it can get bit louder, its more higher pitched and not very bassy i find.

what would sound better the s10 or s12?

i would have thought the oval would have more of a bass sound to it...

if u want to look for more power? get the cannon although u will be having a louder sound under vtec, :D

but if you want to have a nice sound and rather quiet and bass-y under acceleration, get the resonators style, like the twinloop.

2.25 mandrel bent into xforce twin loop 1 long resonator.

Will sound really good, and not rice fart canon.

i have the xforce twin loop on my 93 vtir and i couldnt be happier with it.
i just have catback and its nice and quiet when u wanna just loft around town and makes a great sound when you hit vtec. it has a great note and u can still hear the induction as well. i highly recommend...

spoon n1 is great =] i have it on my dc2 atm you'll just need to get a silencer coz it screams sometimes ... beautiful note when you hit vtec though
