D15b Gearbox to D16A engine

anyone help with the above question? need a deff answer, not a "should do"
my mates after a new box for his D16a early model integra and i have a D15b box from my civic, will it fit?..

i dont think it will fit. Your mates teg is a cable clutched gearbox ~ your gearbox would be a hydraulic one. He would have to convert to hydraulic at a minimum.
Im pretty sure the spline teeth is different too.

if he's lookin for an auto box, wish him luck, they're rare as.

if he needs a manual box, he'll have a bit more luck, but unfortunately if he needs it quickly, getting it rebuilt is the only way. d16a8 gearbox's are compatible, just for your future reference
