View Full Version : Rear Demister not working partially

I've just noticed it today when i turned on my rear demister to clear up the mist somehow it worked only below the first 4 lines from the top.

is this common? is it even possible for rear demister to work partially? should I go to the dealer to chase this up because it looks weird with the first 4 lines has mist and below that is clear :confused:

That looks a little suss to me never does that in my car.....you can see it clearly isn't working up top. good pic to take to the dealer aswell....you can see it clearly.

From the looks of it...

It's time to give the dealer a call! :) Mine doesn't do that AFAIK...

I've called eastern Honda, they said it's the aerial antenna which is the 3 lines at the top and not functioning as demister so pretty much that is why it's misty at the top. :D

must have been living in a very cold area i guess :eek:

so its supposed to be like that?? or needs fixing??

mine doesnt do that...jst takes some time and however have noticed rare occasion that the bottom part of the rear windscreen does not get cleared up

well the dealer said so...

hmmm don't know about the bottom part..., but at the top part there are 3 lines seperated from the below lines about 5cm i guess - that's the antenna.

so the bottom part should clear right away when you turn on the rear demister.

If you look at the review view mirror, the top part is quite a small area, probably wouldnt notice that its not demisting.

But if you go and look at it properly at the rear, or like in your photos, its quite a big part, 4 lines that are not demisting, cause that 4 line are the radio antenna.
