Forum/website upgrade and cleanup - Saturday 16 June 2007

Hi all,

An upgrade and cleanup is planned for this weekend and details are as follows. It didn't quite happen last weekend so this time hopefully nothing will stop me?!

Date: Saturday 16 June 2007
Time: 9:30am to 3:30pm AEST
Affected: Everyone. The site will be shut down meaning you cannot read/reply to threads or check your PMs.
Details:
The following is to be carried out
1. vBulletin upgraded to the latest stable version
2. Any Lounge threads not replied to in the last 6 months deleted. So if there any threads you want saved just bump them up with a reply.
3. Marketplae threads not replied to in the last 6 months deleted (only applies to Parts for Sale, Cars for sale, What/Where to buy and Wanted to Buy forums).
5. Users with 0 posts and who haven't logged on in the last 6 months removed (warning email sent first)

Post back here if you have any concerns.

Hi all,

Just letting you know that all of the stuff mentioned in the first post is done.

A couple of issues to be addressed:
1. Attachments - I'll have these re-uploaded so please be patient.
2. Some people's avatars are missing - Working on it (just re-uploading them) FIXED

If you find any other issues let me know.

Hey, I had pics up on the "for sale" section and they have not worked since the update Sat, although the thread is still acting as if they are there

Any ideas would be appreciated...

Avatars should all be fixed now. Just working on the attachments now.

Not sure if this has been addressed already but is the Replies & Views count actually working? Doesn't seem to be incrementing accurately.

Sure. The Appearance/Gallery section is a good example. Since the update there are many posts appearing where the reply/view counts don't seem to be adding up properly, or rather, adding up realistically. It would be too much of a coincidence that all of these posts were replied by [x] amount of people and viewed by [x] + 1. And the same thing is occurring in all other sections of the forum as well.

Yfin pointed this out to me previously and I did a few repairs but seems that didn't fixed it. I've made a few changes and that has updated the views but will have to see if it stays updated.

Everything should be fixed now. I found out the reason for the thread view/replies not updating (long story). Also fixed up the attachments issue so all should be well from now.
