i have a set of 15'' stock ek4 rims
with 205/50/15 size rubber one it.
i wanna know wat would be better to get 205/50/15 or 195/50/15
i was told that the 205 will fit but its to big.
so would anyone know wat would be a good size and a good type of rubber to put on.

who told you that.
thats crap
I run same size on my DC2 and , 205/50/15 and its great
i dont think 1cm width makes all that much of a difference to your geometry.
205 will be ok :P

i was at the tyer place in smithfield (syd)
the guy looked like keiichi tsuchiya
and he was telling me that it would be better to run the 195/50/15
also the funny thing was that he was trying to sell me some semie slicks

its pretty much down to personal preference.
stock ek4 comes in 195/55.
u can run either 205/50 or 195/50 no problem at all.
personally prefer 195/50. its wide enuf for the given 6.5" rims, and looks better than 205/50.
for tyre recommendation...

all the best.

Only diffrence is 205 should last longer as there is more rubber.
The actual footprint should be the same as:
Pressure (P) = Force(F)/Area(A)
Therefore A= F/P
So, unless Your car gets Heavier, or pressure goes down the Area stays same.
Obviously this Wont work when sizes get huge (say a 340 wide ferrari tyre)
But when the diffrence is small you wont actually get a wider footprint.
U do though have extra rubber, 1cm of it actually, which means it should last longer
