good day everyone. i just found some funny things in Japan.

OKADA PROJECTS coil over plug system. is it worth alomst 1K AUS dollars? any benefits from this stuff? since my EK1 is a bit hard to find engine parts to mod (not include turbo, supercharge, CAI). some of my friends are using in their BMW's and Honda's and come up with positive feedback. but is it really useful?

this is the website

it wont work with your EK1 , since you have a distributor.
This "design" works on COIL PACKS only ( like K series etc)

^^^ yep it wont work on Dizzy type car.
Changing ignition part wont give you any power.. but it make your car alot smoother to drive. ie, easier cranking up at cold :)

You're better off with something like this: http://www.pulstarplug.com/index.html

These pulstar plugs benefit distributor-equipped cars more than ignition coil-equipped cars and the benefits have been confirmed with independent testing as well. The downside is that 4 plugs would cost you almost US$100.

All these are a WASTE of money on a stock car with minimal mods. Your stock Honda ignition system will work JUST FINE until you boost or raise cylinder pressure by increasing your compression ratio until then spend your money on something useful.

exactly.

Race/ drag cars often and mostly use stock ignition (leads/dizzy) due to it being 100% fine. IF they do all sorts of mods to squeeze every last HP out of an engine , yet leave the ignition/leads stock i think this says something
