i dunno if this could be a useful thread or not
but basically i was looking at what are some of the lightest wheels for 15's
like te37, ce28, spoon etc and their exact weight. while some sites offically state their weight like spoon, alot of other brands dont and there seem to be alot of different claims on the web

so i thought it mite be good if some of you guys who actually has weighed their rims to post how much they are, preferably without tyres, so this could be a point of reverence for people in the future.
include the specs as well yeah?
eg:

spoon sw388 15x 6.5 3.88 kg
96 spec ITR rims 4.8kg

I have a PDF showing all available wheels and their weights.
If you want it, PM your email address and I'll send it to you.

Alternatively, when one of you get it, you can host it and post the link.

I can't attach it cause the file is too large for OzHonda.

anything 4kgs and under is light. 5-6 is average. anything over is heavy i rekcon. (15x7)

from memory my buddy clubs p1 sf 17" were 6.5-7kgs, regas are just touching 4kgs (15x7), advan rg replica 15x7 were 6kgs. thats all i can think of..

Big difference with light weight wheels. You can definately feel the differnce in acceleration, handling. Wheel spiining mayb but can be fixed with sticky tires.

i've seen a best motoring on this and they should a slight improvement in handling due to lighter rims on the EVO 9 i think it was.

But lighter rims will buckle easier with less resistance.
Only problem with really light rims are that AUstralian road are crappy and there are too many potholes to look out for. THe lighter rims generally are for track use as the surface is perfectly smooth. Its up to you to chance your rims on the road. Just rem light rims aren't cheap.
