hi, does anyone know what is involved in changing from rear drums to rear disc brakes on and eg hatch gli?
i would like to know the rough costs i would need?
the difficulty and finding the parts?
the difficulty in labour?

if anyone has the rear disc conversion parts i am also interested in buying.
any suggestions would be great thanks.

Make sure when you are buying a rear disc conversion get the E-brake cable. Thats the most important part of the conversion. They are usually worth $200 for a pair of cables.

If you are mechanical knowledge, its a relatively straight forward procedure.

Your are roughly looking at between 350-400 for a complete rear disc conversion including e-cables. Add wateva labour is, do it yourself and its free!

300-400 make sure u get the hand brake cables all in tact not cut off
then unbolt the trailing arm (drum brakd trailing arm) and replace it with the disc brake 1's
it's a bolt in bolt out job

ask wreckers for the HB cable. I got mine for $70 for the set. Did take 7 weeks though and they first sent me one-side only(like what the hell am I gonna do with one side of the HB cable??? idiots), but after hassling them for long enuf, I finally got the other one sent.
