cool, i didn't know all those could be replaced with the T10.

Those blue one's on the side look very nice but the blue LED on the rear looks very rice ! haha

as for the LED bulb and the glass bulb, how much brighter is it would you say? a huge difference in light output?

I'll prob installed a LED on the front for better visibility and a artic blue on the rear's for the sexy look

i can say they a little brighter abt 2x or 1.5x, and the color is more nice, is pure white, as these blue glass bulb will change color after period of time, but led wont change color
and LED had a longer service life compare with halogen bulb.

hi,

i was going to buy a civic.. so in anticipation I bought this grill in Bangkok.
ive since decided against buying the car.

this wasnt easy to find in Bangers and considering its already in Sydney I;ve saved some buyer the worry about freight from o/s.

so the grill is up for sale on ebay at
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130189984434

this is probably against forum rules, but this points system doesnt allow me to post it in the sales sections.

thanks for the past advice but 31k+ for a Honda Sport was a little too much to digest.

You paid $100+ for a replica CF grille?! It looks alright but wouldn't pay $150aud for it mate. The picture doesn't make it clear whether it's actually replacing the huge piece of chrome which comes with the Civic, or if it just sits/wraps on top.

Good luck selling it. It looks nice but I'm cheap!

Yeah, I'd be interested but $150 AUD is a bit much. PM if you're willing to drop the price a bit.

If you check the website and convert the thai baht to aussie dollars it equals $150. Those places sell cheaper versions that have a carbon fibre weave sticker. This is real carbon fibre with layers of gloss.

The grill replaces the existing grill and has mounting holes etc. You stick your own chrome/red Honda badge back in place and happy days.

LOL I guess there is a quality difference between different replicas :) Although not quite sure how you could trust one to be genuine CF...

Big difference in quality.

I guess I cant be 100% sure but my wife grew up a few streets away from MBK, Bangkok, (ie speaks the language) and the guys at R Style have another shop outside of MBK. They dont need to deal with tourists so have little reason to lie.
Maybe it isnt real CF but the weave has depth and looked good enough to buy on the spot.

I was surprised at the price of things compared to the average thai wage. It must get expensive. But if anyone knows thais they love their cars..

A shot of the back to clear things up.

JaCe

I've seen a replica blue H badge, as well as a H badge which lights up in blue... but both were replicas.

Also neither was designed specifically for the FD's slots- just generic badging which you can DIY fit.

too dark for me if black color with mugen grille. i like a contrast combination such black with chrome, or white with mugen grille.

LOLs medical building~ guess you can take photos anywhere. Nice shots though. I wish I could improve my photo taking ability... even with various techniques, when shooting indoors in carparks, only 1 out of every 10 shots is a keeper... or maybe even 1 in 15. But I guess it's that "1" which you love :)

Also wanted to change the bottom area (fog light and lower bumper) to wired mesh. The only problem with doing it is that you have to physically cut away the grille. So if you want to return to stock look, youll need litres of super glue :D

The ones you buy off eBay and so on are just stickers; although if you're in Asia it is possible to buy OEM Chrome handles- I didn't bother asking about it though because I knew it wouldn't be cheap.

chrome bowls and handles are cheap. But i was told they make the car look cheap as the material is not that good.

Just some feedback on the eagle eyes for those who pm'd me.

Last night it rained pretty hard and there was no sign of water getting into the lamps. I checked under the bonnet and into the lens, no sign of water, mist, moisture etc.

Hey Shimian, I am interested in these things now.. just curious, since I have HIDs already installed for the outer beams in the front, will these fit "inside" the angel eyes? Or would I lose 'em altogether if I replaced with the projector style headlamps?

yes u can keep the same ballast and just change the bulb to H7...

not sure if you can just get a converter and keep ballast. But the headlamp uses H7 for low beams

4th, don't like mugen RR/dominator grille (carbon fiber also still little bit dark for black color)

I think white FD turned out to be a surprise in how good it looked with the black contrasts- "exceptionally good" would be my remark. I thought it would look bland like a Corolla but instead it looked really hot. Black is always going to look good, but it doesn't always look exceptionally good.

Even with my legal tint on my left/right windows; reversing in the dark and rain (as recently it's been storming alot in Sydney) down a hill is bloody difficult when there's also no street lighting (such as on a driveway).

Had to wind down my windows in the rain so I could see *something* off the reflection in the side mirrors.

The main reason why i don't want tint on mine. I wear glass almost 24/7 so its not really safe for me when i need to do such maneuver.

I just put some eagle eye HIDs onto my Civic but the beam pattern looks like it's going to the left too much and not lighting up the road directly in front enough. Anyone else had this problem before? Anyway how do I re-aim them better?

Also, anyone know how to replace fog light bulbs? Does the front bumper need to come off? I want to put a nice JDM yellow halogen colour in there. (just ordered some) :)

It wasn't in my manual on how to change the fog bulb.

Hey does anyone know if HIDs are supposed to be aimed strangely? E.g. in Australia right light aiming mostly down lots whilst the other left one aimed to the left and up a lot more? (Possibly to prevent blinding)? That's how mine are.

hey DMX, I found it thanks man :)

Hey people, I think I've discovered what the deal was with my eagle eyes. The dude who installed themmade the right one point down HEAPS. I'm guessing this is because of some legal requirement for HIDs to have the right one down more to prevent blinding of oncoming traffic?? Problem is, in the distance my car looks like a ****ing pirate. The left hand side light is looking nice and bright and slightly bluish whilst the right hand side one has barely any colour because it is pointed down and also looks MUCH MUCH duller, almost like it doesn't have any glow to it. I'm thinking that the right one should be aimed a smidgen upwards to equalise the glow of this light so it looks more similar to the other. Has anyone else had any problems with this? I opened my bonnet and it looks like to re-aim a little I will need to remove my front bumper.

Can anyone provide some help on how to remove the bumper and also re-aim the lights? Is it a matter or moving the light element around or actually pulling the housing apart and re-aiming the projector lens?

JaCe

I think the right hand side is purposely meant to be pointed down a bit so that it doesn't blind oncoming traffic... but ROFLMAO at your pirate comment.

You can adjust the height of the beam by turning the white looking bolt on each of headlamp. On the drivers side, you can easily access it. I use a wrench. On the passenger side, you need to remove the white bottle. Then you will see the white looking bolt. Use a small + screw driver to turn it. Yes, the left side does shine higher even if you pull it to the lowest height. I have pulled my right side to the lowest height and it does seem to be not level with the left. I will experiment this week with raising the right side higher and test if it blinds oncoming traffic.

Nah man, but you need to have the right tools to tighten it. It's piss easy to install yourself- just slide two pieces of perfectly cut and smoothed metal onto the tips. If you know anyone who works at Honda, they should be able to get the tips for you pretty cheap.

ps. yes they are OEM

VTi-L doesn't have any (special?) tips on it. It's the same as VTi. I am a bit too lazy to scroll back through this thread but if you have time, I think it would've been around August/Septemberish last year, I posted photos of before and after. The before shot should show that you have two pipes sticking out (in layman's terms) which are dark grey in colour, not shiny, and not very attractive at all.

I'm just slightly concerned you may have already gotten tips from your dealer and not realised!

But to answer your question in a simple yes/no, when I installed the OEM Chrome Exhaust Tips, I literally just lined them up with the pipes, pushed in, and screwed in the included screws/bolts. No removal of anything required.

Nah mate they are Taiwanese-made accessories for the FD. But thanks for the compliment- I reckon they look good on a black car too.

hey jace... with ur aftermarket tail lights have you noticed any water or moisture inside them? because i heard that if they don't fit properly moisture will form inside? so far so good?

Only time will tell but when I got the OEM ones removed, there was a bit of crap inside so I wouldn't be surprised if something got in. Like most aftermarket modules, they are 'plug and play' and thus they slot into the exact slot which the OEM ones were previously fitted to, so the moisture could potentially form between the module and the rest of the car, but I don't think this would be an issue. Hard to explain but here's a shot of what it looked like when it was being installed;

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/8347/rearledinstallde6.th.jpg (http://img329.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rearledinstallde6.jpg) http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/4003/08032008245jl3.th.jpg (http://img264.imageshack.us/my.php?image=08032008245jl3.jpg)

Also got a shot there of a direct comparison between aftermarket and OEM. I was too lazy to put on my other plates so you'll have to put up with a very carefully positioned white box courtesy of Microsoft Paint.

wow... the guy with white T-shirt much better looking than car with white color :D

did u key it?
pls listen to Cracker mate ! stay away...
anyway, love ur avatar LOL

haha i bet he wasnt disbaled and for that..
i would of defiantly would of let down the tyres...

hate people which park in disabled when there not or parents with prams..

but in all...i want one of those cars haha

hey..hey... who knows ? My neighbour (disabled) drives Subaru STI :D

im kidding, i would never key a car, i'd rather break all the windows and steal his tyres than key the car... no balls in that, cheapest thing a person can do 2 a car is key it...
ah... pls follow Cracker's command !!!

Yeh I haveto admit Holden/HSV have a pretty good design team nowadays...

And keying cars is lame. Cuts us deep ><

means if we meet FD with LED tail = Jace :D

looks Red Carbon fiber

Lol, mine cost only about $10 AUD. I know carbon fibre is black. It looks kinda like it only in red print. Its hard to explain. During sunlight, it will give some sort of shiny, layered effect. Not complaining for the price i paid and few of my mates reckon its hot.

Tell us how it goes in the heat. I always wonder how these sorts of things last once the sun gets on 'em.

yea. i thought about that too. The good thing is that it sits inbetween the silver parts, so the silver H kinda stops it from moving when hot. If it does move, i can always apply some thin 3m tape. $10, not expecting much

those altezza headlights look awesome at night, kinda reminds me of the rear end of the holden r8 or something, i like it. but during the day id prefer the OEM. and night the led of the altezza own it.

It looks best in darker environments since it doesn't look like the old stereotype of "rice clear lights" but instead, the shadow bit blends in with the rest of the car. e.g. carparks and at night (not necessarily in photos where you need to shine some light on it for it to take a photo)
