Anyone know the best place to find a set of stock honda FD2 face-lift rims? they are 17'' alloys. or recommend wheels that have a similar look?
just for kicks, I went to peter warren and asked, they are about 800 per rim, no tyres.. haha

Haha, yeah wheels are the one thing I'm clueless about, I can't "visualise" it on the car. But I do know I need to replace my stock ones.
I've been looking at TE37, or CR Kais.

If you're looking for any wheels, just use google with "wheel name sedan 8thcivic". The guys on there generally have tried almost any wheel you can imagine, so you'll find it easy to get an idea on how it will look, also if you then find the picture on there you'll find the specs they've used (size, width, offset).

depending on your living situation (women tend not to like the idea of car wheels in the tub), use an old bed sheet, put that in the bath (stop any scratching should that be an issue) ... fill the bath up with scolding hot water, add some detergent ... should work!

I think the RR bumper is about 10mm lower, with the mugen lip I'd assume the same 10mm lower than stock (remember it has to look flush with side skirts so I'd go by that as an indicator).

I've been thinking about this recently, I'm contemplating cutting out a base from the same material they use on sand-boards (of course reinforcing with a few layers), so instead of it cutting away at the bumper, it should glide off.

Thats why Im staying factory spec 4x4
Can't afford brand new coilies

Hahaha .... Don't do that, personally I wouldn't ...
Need something smooth and glidey underneath the front bumper so it has less friction when you scrape man, like I was saying a page back ... Cutout some of the material that sand board (think snow but for sand) use to glide so you won't do as much destruction o.o

ahhhhh 215 on a 9" is sexy as!
My rears used too be like that.
But you lose a bit of grip coming from 235 (Or whatever you had) to 215.
Since you're going for the while Function thing.
Why dont you stiffen up the shocks but leave stock height?

If you're going to do a Solid colour like Black. Why dont you just Plasti Dip it? Only costs $30 for a Can of Matte Black
If you're paying almost $100 per rim to get them Powder Coated you might aswell go for a Unique/Different

Honda FD how does around $250 for 4 wheels sound ?, no sandblasting, properly acid dipped (takes a few days) and professionally baked. Using a Dude on the Nth beaches that was recommended to me by a local Race car builder. I got to inspect a few of his jobs on some open wheelers and I was impressed. yeah I was quoted $400 for 4 rims by a bunch of other powdercoaters but the extra $150 would be time spent blasting.

Age isn't the problem. I'm 20 and i personally would pick a nice clean build any day. No flashy body kits or that whole Stanced thing.
Stanced is cool to look at but at the end of the day its just a car park whore. I used to do stance and I personally did not enjoy it.
Too much of a headache and paying attention to Every detail on the road in case a pebble will destroy the undercarriage.
Which is why my car was raise to an appropriate height (140mm from the body) and If you've seen my pictures
previously my wheels change. but never the car.
But going for a different colour doesn't necessarily have to be something crazy or full on "Look at me"
