New civic prices for financial year sales

I'm wanting to buy a base model civic in Melbourne and wondering what are some of the better prices Melbourne buyers have haggled down to and what I am expecting in the coming end of financial year 'sales'?

Dunno if you will get any discount other than freebies (mats, tints etc) because its still popular. Maybe im wrong? Maybe civic sales are dying?

why buy base model when for a few extra more $$$ u can keep the re-sale value higher and sell as a higher car later down the track?
