would a car lose its value if you respray over the stock colour ?

thought it would add more value since it's getting a new coat of paint, unless you had a reason for respraying like accident or something I don't see why it should lose value

if its a different colour and u end up with this 2 tone business then i would say yes but it hasnt been trialed maybe someone who has resprayed thier car before and tried to sell can let us know
People will probably ask why you repainted it and be wary of buying it

Generally people dont just respray their cars, so people get the idea that there was a bad reason why it was resprayed, and are weary of it.
plus u gotta worry bout the quality, some spray jobs will have heaps of orange peel or runs or whatever that people with a keen eye will pick out
