I'm not into all the racey stuff for our Civic, but get enjoyment from just keeping it looking straight and original (I can hear you all saying boring :D.) We are the 2nd owners and bought it around 8 years ago. It has now done almost 250,000 and it still goes well, but I must admit the k's are starting to impact a few things e.g. steering rack has developed a slight leak, and the tranny (auto) has developed a bit of a shudder when going from 2nd to 3rd. It's driven every day and is really economical to run.
The site looks really good and I fell upon it by chance when doing a google search for a Honda forum. Good to see it's OZ based. Enuff banter C Ya

Yes they are. Seems to be the thing to do on these forums, but I guess who would be interested in tracking down and "borrowing" a 16 year old car ?

Thanks tmy. For a 16 year old car it's quite straight except for a few door dings. She has still got her original cv joints and exhaust system and had her rear main seal replaced 8 months ago. It's our 2nd Honda. Our first was a brand new 1980 Civic Hondamatic (2 speed) wagon. We had it for 18 years until some a..sehole went thru' a red light and wrote it off.

Thanks. I must admit the ED certainly came a long way from the 1980 Civic Wagon, though I do miss it as I could picture my kids learning to drive in it as we had it for so long ! I recall how you could change the oil and filter without even getting under the car at all as there was so much room between the engine and the surrounding engine bay.

Thanks. It's something I enjoy doing. Both our cars come up pretty schmick inside and out and under the hood. I use Meguiars polish and wax products to keep them that way.
