they are to fat to fit in the whole!

thats why i wna know, allen key nuts fit coz they are slim.

how bout u measure your slim lock nuts and maybe someone with rays can measure theirs and ull know cause from what i know rays lug nuts are ment to replace the stock ones in width.

P.S they are called lug nuts. Lock nuts have a special key.
If your still struggling autobarn sell lug nuts with a special key which are thin to fit all rims.
In my experience the allen key type have a tendency to break/become rounded. I've had to weld on the allen key twice to get the rims off.
It usually happens cos of stupid tyre places putting them on too tight or they get seized on. Also some of them are just not good quality. If you use the allen key type make sure you inspect them each time to take them on and off to make sure they are not gonna break. And NO you cannot chizel them out as most wheel that need them will not have any room. I spent quite a long time on the prob until i got the autobarn ones

The autobarn ones i had have been the best since, never a prob for like 5yrs now.

rays lugnuts will not fit your style of rims. the holes on your wheels are too small for the lugnuts too fit.

the ones you use are sometimes referred to as barrel nuts. you use the allan key that goes INSIDE the nuts to lock/release them, where as normal lugnuts(oem/rays) have the socket set that goes OUTSIDE/AROUND the nuts to lock/release them

long story short. they will not fit

no. rays long nuts arent slimmer than the standard rays short ones. they
re same size with an extension ontop of the short nuts.

** bump ** this 2 yr. old thread instead of starting new one.

I cannot think what colour lug nuts suit bronze rims.... ?? Anyone have any suggestions? Any colour I think of clashes with bronze.

Oh yes gunmetal, excellent suggestion.

Problem is hard to find gunmetal lugs, a lot come in that gay chrome colour

too bad.... i sold my 5zigen ones 20piece... 1 lock each wheel.

goodluck in finding them otherwise try and pick up a RAYS Short gun metal colour might be a bit exp though atm.

Musecret have project kics R40 in gunmetal and titanium.... can you justify the money for them though....

Oh man I would have bought them off you. Checking out eBay now & it's all so expensive.

What's the difference between open & close ended?

Did some research & for my EG is 12mm x 1.5 yeah? I just need the tuner lugs for aftermarket wheels?

Crapdaz

Open end is the Project KIC i posted above and they are considered LONG.

Closed ends and SHORT are these ones below:

I am assuming honda's use all the same. So mine were M12x1.5 which should be right, PM someone who has an EG to check if your right with the specs.

Yeh make sure you check the shape of them as well, there are 2 types ROUNDED or TAPERED.

Most Aft use TAPERED but not always. Just check your wheels and get the right nuts.

Hope this has been helpful. :p

Cheers for that mate, yeah dunno the bronze would suit it that well cause it kinda blends in. Might need a colour that stands out more such as blue or gunmetal as suggested earlier

thats cool, it sounds like you already know what you want.

everyone has a different opinion on what suits.

also depends on the color of the car.

I had red lugs on before this cos my car's red.

now you know what you want, go and get it without wasting more time.

You had the same dilemma i was in.

I was on the verge of getting Anodised RED lugnuts which would have looked sick but ended up sticking with gunmetal to not stand out from the crowd.

Reckon red would go; what colour is your car btw?

Take into consideration the colour of your car; atm i am running anodised blue on time attack coloured wheels looks okay but stands out. :p

Rofl bludger - hard to find a pic of red lugnuts on a bronze wheel on google.

red lugs on any coloured car will look good except blue and green.
Other colours will just depend on the wheel colour then.
