hey guys... this is actually my dad's toyota avalon that has the problem atm... any help will be sweet!

My dad's car had a minor accident and we got new a/c line, a re-gas, radiator and front bar installed... the problem is that the a/c doesn't actually work..

When we turn the a/c on, it doesn't get cold/hot... it's as if the a/c button wasn't pressed.. just warm or cool air...

how would i go about fixing this problem? is there some sort of switch or sumthing that wasn't fixed? any ideas?

I would be taking it straight back to the repairer, either the gas has leaked out of poorly sealed lines, or the condensor is damaged, could be any number of things!

there is definitely a gas leak somewhere along the pipes. check for a hissing sound along the pipe.

if this is the case u ll need to get it re-gased again.

ums.. follow the ac lines to the belt side of the car, those lines should go to a unit, that unit will have a belt on it.
that;s the compressor.

a/c gas will **** u up... lol.. can give u cancer and shit.

take it 2 who ever fixed the car up... lol, whats the point of paying for a incomplete job!

u wouldnt have much chance finding the leak... u need special goggles 2 see where the gas has leeked ect...

so basicly.. take it back 2 who ever did not complete there job or a a/c specialest..

goodluck :)

you don't need special googles if it's a dyed gas, but you will need a special lensed torch. Looks cool if anyones seen it reminds me of predator blood :p

i do it at work... Lol.. im pritty sure i u need the goggles...

but yer u will need the uv light and the goggles... u gota be stupid not 2 use the goggles as the light can permanently damage your eyes.... plus the goggles make it easier 2 see the a/c gas
