teflon tape for alluminium hose fittings?

mixed bags.. people say no as it would crack the alloy fittings..
some swear by it

If it's a tapered thread (NPT or pipe thread) then you can use teflon tape or a sealant on it. If you're talking about braided hose with an AN/SAE thread, you don't use tape on them, and should use a crush washer or o-ring instead.

Im talking about braided oil lines and AN connectors.. so i can presume no tape anywhere? hehehe thanks dude.

Yep no tape. If you use the correct hoses to the hose ends, and tighten them to the exact specifications, you won't have a problem. Also helps to check them once in a while.

when we did my braided lines we used this oil to lube/seal the fittings. Its a special oil of some sort.
Maybe that's what your looking for? My friend got it from Rocket Industries. and i used his. Only need a drop of it.

Put a bit of gasket goo on the threads.
