Is there any difference between the front ITR subframe and EG5 EG subframe. i.e strenght wise, has it been reinforce and etc. There there any kind of differnce besides the front lower brace and the bigger swaybar? Worth while mod?
I wouldn't think so
I'm running a VTiR subframe in my Type R
You should probably spend the money on reinforcing other parts of the chassis
Have you considered H Braces?
I'm getting some from America; could get you one too

no difference. Same EG / DC2 / DC4 / DC2R .

The H brace
is simply a traction bar - links your subframe with the LCA's etc.
Very cheap too like $100 landed; I haven't fully worked it out but about that

I've been planning to get one
But, realistically never thought there would be a noticable improvement.
Is there??
Seems like the mount of flex down there would be minimal and something like this wouldn't make a difference
Though Evo's and STi's have them I think

the only flex worth worrying about "down there" would be due to worn bushes or previous damage leading to decreased rigidity. So if your car has a few k's on it or had a few accidents then a H brace would benefit more than say a newish car with less k's.
Does it really matter if it helps or not?
As long as it's not making it worse; seriously thats a lot of bling for very little money

...that you cant even see lol. AND it will scrape / bottom out much more if your car is lowered any amount. Also might interfere with your 2-1 section of your header. IMO spend the money elsewhere.

There'll be an improvement with the H brace. For $100 can't go wrong.

Theres definately better things to spend $100 on that something that might do nothing. Why do you want it anyway? What handling characteristic are you trying to reduce/remove?

the one you're getting Drew, how heavy is it?
i have one of those and don't think it makes an ounce of difference
don't know what metal it is, but seems flimsy, very light

What like gearknobs, pedal covers, seatbelt cover n shit like that?
You probably won't see much if any difference just running around town with it

Someone get one and do some tests for flex etc *(before/after)

LOL, make it fit :)
i bent mine with a vice to make it hang lower
I used a H brace...it made the front really stiff and had a bit of understeer though I did not really have any ground clearence problems. I did destroy the H brace going off at Turn 3 Eastern Creek sideways over the HUGE HUGE Rumble strips.

i doint car if it scrapes the grounds, my issue is scubbing the headers..........
it had at least an inch clearance probz, where header had toi be raised for the h brace to fit the mounts..........

sorry for the off topic but is that a moroso sump ?

Yes, its a Moroso. This one is basically an OEM replacement with Internal Baffles, so it fits really well nd doesn't get in the way of other components.
Hope that helps.

stiff suspension and harsh driving would definitely need one of this.
$100 definitely worth it if it fits without any hassles.
It can also work as a underbody protection frame if you have a low ride with soft shocks.
