ok guys, from the brain of a noob with a thousand questions comes....

has anyone got a clutch kit installed ? ie excedy, etc

a. easy to do
b. only if u have the knowledge and tools
c. leave it to a professionals u dumb noob ;-)

what brands have u got and any noticable improvement?

also a exhaust header 4-2-1, to high flow cat, to "hot dog muffler" what would be a better size piping to go 4 ?

a. 2.25"
b. 2.5"
c. 3"

better cost wise to buy a kit online, or go to exhaust shop and get one made/installed. (at the moment car is NA, maybe turbo later on in life)

thnx in advance

hey simmo, im assuming the clutch kit is for the ES1, exedy dont make heavy duty clutch kits for the ES1, you can either get a custom made one, otherwise only the normal oem style clutch are avaliable in australia. overseas however do have alot of parts and do have heavyduty clutch kits. iv noticed alot of ppl using ACT clutch on the 7th gen civics. replacing a clutch i think u need to take it to ur mechanic unless you have all the equipment. otherwise its pretty straight forward.
For the exhaust, i suggest you just got a catback or even axle back. go 2inch mandrel bend. the headers and cat, will be wasting your money, im saying this because if you do go turbo you will need bigger piping so the muffler and whatever you put now will ne useless.
you may be asking why not just put bigger piping now to save money and time? well for the 1.7L any bigger then 2inch, 2 1/4inch at max. will loose torque and power.
