Aim:
to remove the annoying yellow "haze" that forms on healights over time

Materials:

nevr dull cleaner can be found at repco $9.10 a can and lasts for ages

clean cloth - under the kitchen sink?

Steps:

have got some pics for before and after so hopefully we can spot a difference lol

here it is before now i am sure my headlights are not as bad as they can be but it doesn't matter

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/nevr1.jpg
the good thing with the product it comes already to go and use. A wadding type fibre has the meterial soaded into it all ready to go

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/aplly.jpg
now just pull a small piece off it and just apply to the headlight like so or as u would an ordinary wax.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/hazeapply.jpg
let the substance sit on the headlights so it "dries/hazes over" for 5 or so mintues.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/bothclean.jpg
finally u can wipe off with a clean cloth and inspect the results

And finally the before and after shot..

You can just use polish...back in the old day we use the cut style of polish...

atm I just using my car polish: autoglym resign, and it makes it really clear....

not that it was hazy in the first place, always look after my headlights lol

Done! Just thought I'd contribute my before and after photos for those not quite convinced. My headlights were extremely hazy and yellow so before I used the metal polish, I gave it a once over with 2000grit wet/dry sandpaper. Might actually give it another round or two of polishing but not bad for a 20min job. Cheers. Nathan.

pretti sure u have to take the headlight out of the car.. then u need to heat the glue round the casing etc.. iheard some people have done with a hairdryer of put it in a warm ovenn...

then it shoudl just come straight off..

Depends are u that ticked off about it to fix it

takes a few hours. if you are gonna use the oven, make sure you use a tray covered in something like oven baking paper cause plastic when slightly warm will cling onto anything that conducts heat well (like a metal tray). i used 2 peices of timber too suspend the headlight, 180 degrees in oven and within 2 minutes pulling it put and prying the silicon off with a screw driver, but its a bitch too reseal

i found it safer to preheat the oven at 150...for about 5 min.

stick your head lights in, for about 2 mins ...open the oven, and touch the headlight, if it feels hot, (but not too hot that you cant pick it up with your bare hands), then just take it out and pry it open with screw driver/knife.

be careful you dont break any of the little clips off when you pry it open.

to reseal its just reverse, put them back together as much as possible.
stick it back in the oven for another 2 mins, take them out and push them together, making sure you get all the little clips.

and a touch of silicon all around the gap ...just incase.

***while you've got it open...may as well do a DIY CTR job***
