cleaning exhuasts - acid wash?

i was told you could acid wash the inside like you do with headers. where would i be able to get some of this, or they do it at the exhaust shops only?

how much roughly is it ? i wanna get a catback cleaned


also how you guys go about cleaning those old headers thats got all these black crap burnt onto it? Sand paper?

carbon buildup in your exhaust is helping smooth out flow, unless you have some serious buildup.
Otherwise brake cleaner in a spray bottle, brush/toothbrush should be fine.
