been wondering what's the "L" represents in VTi-L if it means Luxury.
I dont see any luxury pieces fitted when i saw it in person, not even a leather.

Low

As it lowrider..haha..

Low Emission Vehicle. So its got a diff engine. E.g., the original VTi had F23A, however the VTi-L has F23Z, which is an ultra low emission engine.

i believe there was a thread on this but who really wants to search, i think it read

Vti-S - sunroof, optional leather, alloys and stuff

Vti-L can also be alloys but usually doesnt have a sunroof i think ive seen L's with leather though...

maybe - S = sunroof...?
L = umm for you

I beg to differ ;)

In aus,

VTi-L are 4 cyl ONLY with the LEV engine. Series 2 6th gens 01-02 (V6 and 4cyl) ALL come with leather as standard.

V6L and V6 come with the J30A2 engiens, I don't believe they are LEV engines, with the L meaning luxury in this instance.

Low

the f23z means the last phase of the motor, such as the h22z was in the preludes before they ceased production

There is VTi, VTi-S, VTi-R, VTi-L in honda...

S stands for sport, R stands for Racing..

I used to own a 98 accord VTi..

since L is not for Leather, not for low emission vehicle either coz the 99+ accord came with LEV badge so it will be unnecessary to put L behind the VTi..

so L must be for Long since the VTi-L is longer than VTi...
