Hey guys, cant seem to find the right part..

pulled it out and measurements from the external diameter of each engine bolt across is 105mm..

honda originally gave me one that was too small.. i am assuming Australian part that was about 900mm..

I gave them the VIN and engine number and they gave me one that was 115mm..

Can anyone tell me the exact part number or a VIN number that will bring up the right part on their systems?

Much appreciated.

SiR CRX was never Australian Delivered - so if they checked something on the system its a: a part for a D16 or b: the part number for an EG B16A.
Im guessing it would have been a D16 mount. being smaller - 90mm (not 900mm)
on the part they gave you which is 115mm - do the bolt holes line up with your stock one? It could be simply an 'upgraded' part number - perhaps alot of the 105s were breaking on the EGs so they upgraded to a thicker mount.

Anyway - i've got a number for you: 1990 SiR CRX front engine mount : 50840SH3000
see if that helps?

thanks for the quick reply!

just confirmed the part number you gave me 50840SH3000 is the one they gave me originally.. 90mm distance between ED of the engine bolts..

this is too small.. i need 105mm.. they do have another one in stock this one appears to be too big.. 115mm

im not sure what to do now.. :(

thanks crxtasy.. tho this one appears to be too big.. from external diameter to external diameter of the engine bolt holes is 115mm.. the one on my car is 105mm.. though the part number you gave me is the part that comes up under my VIN number..

something dont add up..

im located in Melbourne AUSVTEC..

is it a genuine ef8/SiR or a engine swap?

if its a ef8, the front engine mount should be the same as the dc2r.

its geniune all numbers match up.. hmm.. maybe ill try that part number anyways.. just reluctant as i already pulled this mount out to find that honda had given me the australian delivered part and had to put it back in :(

A bit of a shameless plug, I know, but I have all 4 mounts from my EF8 for sale. More suitable for a urethaning project though, as all the bushes are worn. - Out of interest, what is the VIN on yours?

Contact Strong for Honda in NZ. That's where I got my EF9 spares (EF8 mounts are exactly the same).

Honda Aust are a bunch of know nothing shit-for-brains cockwads when it comes to JDM cars.

BTW - importing parts from NZ is cheaper than having Honda Au import for you - another reason to ignore the morons.

If it's just bolts your after, you can buy custom high tensile ones at any length at your local "fastners" shop. Just take your short 90mm bolt and tell them you want one that's the same thread pitch but with a 105mm length.

I've recently did this cause the bolts on my super-cheap engine stand weren't long enough to attach to the block. So I went and ordered 4 brand new hi-tensile jobbies (in sexy black) that were 20mm longer.
