Hi guys I'm a frequent reader of this forum and this is my first post. I have recently bought a 1998 model DC2 (101000 km's on the clock) with Type R brake conversion (5 studs). I've taken the car to a mechanic friend for a service and he noticed the rear hub bearings are making a huge noise while the car is running.
The problem is we dunno where to purchase the hub bearings for the Type R converted brake set. Anyone have a clue as to where I can order this part?

Is it $300 each or $300 for the pair?

ey man, give the measurements to a place that specialises in bearings and they will get one for you, if you are in melbourne there is a place in preston, forgot what it is called. Honda wanted about $120 for one front hub bearing on my EJ8, which had to come from japan, and i only payed like $70-$80 from these guys, perfect fit and no problems.

destrukshn's rite. Around $300 each. Dunno if you can get them made because they come as part of the rear hubs. That's why they cost so much.

did they tell you what caused it. how many km's you done?

Are you after pair or just one? I've got a pair here 52,000k's. perfect condition. pm if you interested.

well im not sure if ITR and ek setup is the same, but i know that ek ones are seperate from the hub as in hub is one piece and bearing is one piece, not sure about ITR though, can someone confirm?

REAR is a hub and bearing assembly.

Cool thanks for the inputs guys. I now have a few choices to consider lol

I'm after a pair for the rear only. I would also like to have a quote for the front ones.
The previous owner was a lousy owner. He left us with many problems that we couldn't see when we tested the car. The car has done 101000 kms, I'm guessing the bearings were caused by the large wheel size he used to fit in. Apparently it used to sit on 19's :S

I've got both rears only 52,000kms. Looks new. And I've got one front with a seperate new NTN bearing peice (just bought for $170 from Honda). PM if you interested.

These are pretty hard to come by unless u buy from honda. Most ppl who have these sell them as a complete 5 stud conversion, lowest I seen em for is $1300 for the whole set, inlcuding trailing arms, front knuckles, HB cable. Let me know if your interested.
