Hey guys,

Just after some help, last night i was driving my euro "Spiritedly" through some corners, nothing to hard or unusual.. i havent done any modifications to the car for quite a number of months now and about 30 seconds after slowing down to normal speeds i had the Check Engine light come on
http://beancounterblog.com/wp-content/images/checkenginelight.jpg (similar to this)

What are the possible causes for this? i do have an aftermarket cat and that was the first thing that sprung to mind for myself but having had this on for over 6 months now without a problem i thought i'd ask about other possible causes.

i have turned the car off and restarted etc, its still there today.

Any ideas?

It's most probably an emissions problem. What cat are you using? You need read the CEL code first, then clear it to get the light off.

ive got a 3 inch metal cat custom fitted, its due for a 20,000 km service very soon, will it be fine to wait until then to check it?

Go to any competent mechanic and they should have an OBDII diagnostic port scanner. You can even buy one from ebay (make sure it supports Hondas/Acuras) and do it yourself.

Ok ive pulled the code and its coming up with the following two

P0134 -O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

& P1157

which 02 sensor is this? before cat i assume?

any ideas what the P1157 code is caused by?

Thanks

P0134: A/F sensor (Sensor 1) Heater System Malfunction
P1157: A/F sensor (Sensor 1) AFS Line High Voltage

It's the first sensor before the cat.
