australia seems to be abit slow in modding the 7th gen civics, overseas like the u.s. or tailand there are heaps of modded 7th gens, turboed, n/a. tons.
you cant put a h22a in the ES as the engine is older then the chasis its illegal, u wont be able to register it. however they take the k20a which comes from the dc5 integra type R. those engines do 147kw. if you are into n/a you should consider that as an option in the future. otherwise i reckon u should get a d17 from the civic vi which has the sohc vtec and turbo it.
parts for the 7th gen civic especially ES are pretty rare, maybe cuz they are still relatively new to the market, anyway theres alot of parts overseas so u might wanna try ebay.com or websites.

K20, K24, turbo or NA only options
i would stay away from the NA option tho, the most well only get is 150Hp if where lucky

my cars build date is november 99 oneof the first es civics to be built, i dont really want to go the turbo route im kind of over it from previous cars, im still really hooked on putting a h22a in it because i thought preludes were built up until 01 and if its an older engine cant i get it engineered, sorry about noob question just never really gone down the conversion path before

u still cant put the H22 in cos theres no engine mounts for it. the only engine mounts for our cars r the K series otherwise ull have to get costom engine mounts and that will cost alot of $$$$$
