Update your profile! What state you live in...

Just a suggestion, that people update their profile to include what state they are in.

Particularly for the technical and n00b discussions, a lot of information is state specific (eg rules and regulations), and if ppl say where they live, (or at least do so in their posts), it makes it a whole lot easier for those trying to provide answers!

Regarding user profiles, its an optional piece of info that users can add in there if they wish.
This sort of information shouldnt be made mandatory as some ppl may have a thing against it.

Its more a case of ppl using their heads when asking for infomration or help about an issue that is location specific.

Yes , its a privacy issue.
Any chance to keep your actual location hidden , is a chance to reduce the chance of possible car theft etc. lol.

It's upto the user to specify a location however atleast putting the state would help IMO.

if anything the OP should be posting their state if their thread requires the location of workshops/suppliers etc
