View Full Version : power window conversion
I have an EK and looking to do power window conversion
question: Is it possible to use OEM power window internals from a door that belongs to an EG/DC2 ?

trism... dude not that simple... u gotta get hte harness and wiring.. then connect to the battery then go thru the fenders then thru the door then connecting to the fuse box or if u got a 4 door then ur more fukd wif stripping the whole car down and wiring all the ova the joint! GG 4DLULZZ

buy two doors complete with power options then run new wiring and regulators
it cost me 400 for two doors and 100 labour so 500 all up
i did this on a eg thou it also had the power mirror option too
this is the best way with less hassles

did u take it to an car electrican to do this lan?
casue u do it urself with ur existing door.. all u need is the next model above with power windows options..
EG. zco has a cxi i believe.. so grab the trims off a gli and regulator and wiring and switchs from it aswell.. and go from there.. not a simple thing to do but can save u money

motors are like 130-175 at all wreckers atm for them in QLD, it's basic as, the windows have the two tabs on the bottom in the manual version? If so it should be piece of piss
then u need alot of shit they'll sting u for, hardly worth it
buy doors ftw

No, you need to replace the regulators.

LOL so no one has attempted this yet?
i've installed everything, harness etc, but it aint working, checked all the fuses still aint working. i have no power running through to the power window switch. im using all OEM GLI harness motors etc.
i have the following
# Window regulators x 2 (btw what do these look like? lol )
# Window motors x 2
# Driver and passenger side switches
# Door trims x 2
# Floor harness
anyone have any pointers.
